Hello Readers!
Happy Chinese New Year to everyone!
Looks like I had been very busy ever since I had last updated my last post. Like “YEARS” YA! J
Been away from home for Tour de Langkawi 2011 for 1 over weeks and back home just before Lunar New Year and after that a lineup of busy Chinese New Year celebrations!
Tour de Langkawi was a good kick off racing season 2011 for me! It was a 10 day stage race and we was actually called up last min knowing that we are going to race in Tour de Langkawi! TOUR DE LANGKAWI THE BIGGEST RACE IN ASIA! I was as excited yet nervous as I have never race such a big race in my life still. My team mates are Adi, Jiwen, Jun Rong, Darren, Lemuel and me! We have Daniel Loy as our Team Manager, Kit Leong as our Assistant Manager, Indera our Team Mechanic and Alan Soh our Soigner!
Through this race I had learnt so much that I had never ever thought that I would even do that! I am as surprise as what my team mates thought of me too! I am happy that I had overcome my fear being up in the front of the peloton but that being said I am actually risking of making ermines though! But I didn’t thought of that as I treated it as a learning experience to me. As being said when you are up in the front along without any team mates around you, you will tend to be bully by other team or riders who are also fighting for the position.
Early of the start of Stage 3, I was caught with a crash with actually more than half of the peleton with me and my team mates Adi and Lemuel! It was a STUPID crash that could be avoided but still… It’s all parts and parcel of racing! Crashed and landed on my butt! I still remember I actually get to see bicycle flying over me LIVE! I quickly got up check my bicycle and rode off join back the peleton. Because of the crash I actually got afraid and my fear came back but as I keep on riding. Halfway through the race I finally got myself settle down and off I go again! Up Off my saddle and back to the front of the peleton and waits for break to go.
I had so much things to post but I am so tired of writing all of it down… L I should just end the tour with “Last but not least, I want to thank everyone in the team! Thank you everyone for the enjoyable trip and experience we had together!”
Had an Interview on Saturday by Channel New Asia too! It was about “why do I still train during this festival period?” During the interview I was actually nervous! Not knowing what actually they will ask me and ME in front of the camera. The feeling is like… OMG!!! Up in my head it was a BLANK mind!!!
Back to studio on Sunday for Chinese New Year Celebration! This year Lion dance performance was an amazing one! We actually got a Dragon dance for the first time and of course with this year zodiac (RABBIT) and as usual not missing out the lion dance! The whole studio was overflowing with everyone’s laughter and joy.
Finally my OPERA is out on the road!!! Feeling GREAT! Am still fine tuning my position on the bike, but almost perfect! J
Wednesday and Friday’s interval was a good one! I thought I won’t be able to finish it, but ended up I finished! J
Saturday ride was a BORING RIDE MAN!!! Where the hell is all my team mates/ riding buddy!!! “(AT HOME SLEEPING AR???)” LOL…
Sunday’s Thomson ride was fun but like of not so happy with my riding mind… oh well….
Finally my FPUL APPROVED!!! WOOHOO!!! After 1year 4months of waiting for this day!!! But I still haven’t gotten my half day off request approve yet… L I hope this will come very soon when I return back to camp next week!
I am leaving to Thailand this Thursday for ASIAN CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIP! Finally my turn and I want to do my very best in this race. Not just aiming to get away it must be a breakaway this time come!
I want to sleep already and I shall post this long awaiting post to everyone… HA… J
Bon Nuit
